New Business!

TUCSON, AZ – Paul Ramirez, world renowned auctioneer has announced the official launch of a new business and website www.westernaglife.com. This new business focuses on the agriculture lifestyle, regional history and the personalities who are forging the future in the Southwestern United States. This announcement coincides with National Ag Day, March 20, 2018, a day to recognize and celebrate the abundance provided by agriculture.

According to Mr. Ramirez, the new enterprise offers the agriculture community a printed publication and media company with a team that understands their livelihood. The publication, Western Ag Life Magazine, will be printed in Tucson, Arizona and designed by Kelli Toledo, edited by Dean Fish and managed by Renée Bidegain. The publication will be available at select retailers in Arizona, New Mexico and West Texas. Along with the traditional in-hand copy, a digital version will be available online at westernaglife.com.”

Through his travels as a professional auctioneer Paul Ramirez solidified a kinship with those working off the land. Western Ag Life Media is a career dream of his: integrating the agriculture industry with the public. “Today more than ever consumers are in search of the pathway that brings agricultural products from producers to retailers” Ramirez says. “Our new publication features one on one interviews, how to tips and stunning photographs. Each issue captures the heritage and everyday joys of families who live in harmony with nature and earn a living from the land.”

Every year producers, agriculture associates, corporations, universities, government agencies, and countless other across America join together to recognize the contributions of Agriculture on National Ag Day and that is why owner Paul Ramirez decided to launch his latest business on that day.

Auction Fundraising

Non-Profit Fundraising – Did you know, the team at U Can Bid Auctions has helped to raise millions of dollars for charities throughout the United States for the past 20 years.  Synergizing with charities has become one of the most rewarding parts of being in the auction industry.

Spring in Arizona is a great time for events and a recent annual event, “Born To Be Wild” was just that…great! Tucson Wildlife Center is happy to report that the auction surpassed their goals and the organization now has enough funding to hire a full-time wildlife veterinarian. Congratulations!

This is just another example of why #auctionswork but don’t just take our word for it, read a testimonial from one of their board members or learn more about the organization here.

I have worked with Paul Ramirez and his team at many auctions during the past 20 years. Paul is my number one choice when selecting an auctioneer. He is the ultimate professional and understands how to raise the most money possible while never making people feel uncomfortable.  I have watched him work his magic many times. I highly recommend him  and his crew. –Diana Madaras, Tucson Wildlife Center

New Look!

Tucson, AZ – Same Firm, New Look! That’s right, Ramirez Auction Service Inc. is now doing business as U Can Bid Auctions. Why the change? Because in this “fast talking” auction industry, things change every day! Technology, trends, platforms, bidders, buyers, and clients are always evolving, so we do too. Customers can expect business as usual with a few changes. The iconic “r horns are being replace by a “U” logo that looks like an old typewriter key encircled by red. The name Ramirez will no longer be part of the business name and Ramirez Auction Service Inc. will continue as a corporation DBA U Can Bid Auctions.

Owner and founder, Paul Ramirez, says “It’s time to link up our website, U CAN BID .COM, to our name so there is no confusion when the community is looking for a full-service auction company”. The award-winning marketing/auction company is also renovating an office space in Tucson from floor to ceiling. The remodeling project will add a much-needed conference room, as well as employee kitchen, and plenty of space for the whole team. Since 2002 our company has been blessed with amazing clients, dedicated staff, and reliable bidders which is why we are excited to continue promoting the time-tested efficiencies of auctions for years to come. Rest assured, these changes will only enhance the world class auction experience we provide our clients.

Pequenos in the Old Pueblo

Tucson, AZ – The harvest moon was visible at dusk as the band warmed up on the patio and beads of sweat formed on nearly everyone getting ready for the big night. Above average October temperatures brought an easy opening line to conversations among wait staff, managers, directors, volunteers and participants at the first “Pequeños in the Old Pueblo”. Organized by Xaiver Walker, NPH USA Southwest Regional Director the evening was classy and casual. Union Public House was packed with great food and generous people. The highlight of the evening was the jovial sound and performance of The NPH El Salvador Estudiantina Troupe (pictured below) a group of 12-15 year olds who sang and danced right into your heart.

Now who is NPH? NPH USA transforms the lives of abandoned and disadvantaged children in Latin America and the Caribbean by supporting the homes, healthcare and educational programs of Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos (“Our Little Brothers & Sisters”). Since its founding in 1954 NPH has assisted more than 18,000 children and is currently raising more than 3,200 boys and girls in Boliva, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua and Peru.

Board member, Martha Fogler shared stories from the homes and attendees of the event were able to place bids on a variety of silent auction and live items. Donations started at $50.00 in the Fund-A-Need portion of the live auction and finished at $2,500 (Fun fact: $100 donation equaled 150 lbs of beans, $500 provide milk for 52 kids for 1 month). The generous crowd was active with their bid cards throughout the whole evening but the excitement heated up when they battled for a chance to win one of the many donated luxury experiences. The final auction item of the night was a trip for two to one of the nine NPH homes including airfare and lodging, and thats when all the bid cards went up. Congratulations to all the winners and a big thanks to all the generous supporters.

At the end of the evening, after bidders settled up, friends said goodbye and equipment was packed away, I stepped out into the hot evening air to find open arms and a warm embrace. An unexpected hug from one of the troupe members proving yet again that gratitude and love has no language and auctions really work.

Bar LR Multi-Parcel Real Estate Auction

ST DAVID, AZ – Located in the heart of St. David, Arizona is the Bar LR Ranch. Perfectly situated with highway access and river views this sale is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Owners Robin and Linda Richey both grew up on family farms and thoroughly enjoyed the past 20 years at the Bar LR Ranch. “The decision to sell the property was not easy for us,” Linda said. “We have four children, and several grandchildren but they’re not interested in raising cattle or farming, so we must move on to greener pastures.” When the Richey’s first purchased their property in St. David, they started with five acres. As adjacent properties came up for sale, they purchased the additional properties, growing the ranch to its current 120 +/-Acres which will be auctioned off in a multi-parcel format on April 22, 2017 at 10:00am.

Historically run as farmland, some of the pecan trees on property were planted in 1929. The Richey’s ran between 30-40 registered Angus mother cows, producing top notch bulls. Through their 16 years in the cattle business, the Richeys bred for calving-ease along with docility and produced high value breeding stock. In 2015, Bar LR Angus had the top selling bull at the “Bulls for the 21st Century Bull Test and Sale,” as well as the top selling and highest grading Angus bull at the Willcox Livestock Auction Annual Bull Sale. The ranch also produced the grand champion bull at the Willcox Livestock Auction annual bull sale in March 2016.

If you are not familiar with Southeastern Arizona, it has plenty of history and amenities. The property is close to several ghost towns and only 18 miles from The Town Too Tough To Die, Tombstone, Arizona; where the famous shootout with Wyatt Earp happened in 1881. Other historical towns nearby like; Bisbee, Douglas, and Willcox are quick day trips from the ranch, offer unique yearly festivals and draw tourists from around the world all season long. Explore the great outdoors with Kartchner Caverns State Park, the Huachuca Mountains, Cochise Stronghold and Cornado National Forest nearby.  Most residents enjoy the relaxed, rural lifestyle of St. David, however there are several cities close by. Benson, Sierra Vista and Tucson are all within 50 miles and offer all the benefits of city life. Working or playing outdoors is easy in Arizona’s mild climate. On average, there are 279 sunny days in St. David, AZ with around 13″ of rain per year at an elevation of 3,691ft. Pretty spectacular!

If you haven’t already, we invite you to fall in love with the west and take a closer look at the Bar LR Ranch. The seven parcels put forward are all unique and offer the new owner endless possibilities. Host family and friends in a large main home with 5,038 +/- s.f. under roof. Generate income from your own private pecan orchard and nearly 50 acres of pastures irrigated from multiple shallow wells, develop the property into an equine training facility, run a small herd, plant a crop, or keep it as a quiet private retreat. This versatile property also has a 4,000 +/- s.f. steel building, two potential rental homes, property for future development and plenty of water all in a beautifully treed, quiet rural town setting.

Meet Lewis & Clark – #Auctionswork

TUCSON, AZ – Luckily to be a part of the auction industry, we at Ramirez Auction Service Inc. have been a part of the auction community  for over 20years and we believe in the process.  From weekly markets, to special events to contract work we stand behind the national campaign #Auctionswork. It is great way to pass on and share news about successful auctions and the people we get to work with. Here is a recent success story that we just had to pass on!

On May 9th Pusch Ridge Christian Academy welcomed two new passenger vans to their school that will be used for missional & expeditionary learning. Appropriately named Lewis & Clark, the vans were purchased from money raised at the Spring PRCA Excalibur Auction. Families, friends and dinner guests raised their paddles, had fun and donated the funds needed to help students take to the field and continue to learn. It was a great night, a great  event and a great cause! Glad the U can bid team could help.
