TUCSON, AZ - Luckily to be a part of the auction industry, we at Ramirez Auction Service Inc. have been a part of the auction community  for over 20years and we believe in the process.  From weekly markets, to special events to contract work we stand behind the national campaign #Auctionswork. It is great way to pass on and share news about successful auctions and the people we get to work with. Here is a recent success story that we just had to pass on!

On May 9th Pusch Ridge Christian Academy welcomed two new passenger vans to their school that will be used for missional & expeditionary learning. Appropriately named Lewis & Clark, the vans were purchased from money raised at the Spring PRCA Excalibur Auction. Families, friends and dinner guests raised their paddles, had fun and donated the funds needed to help students take to the field and continue to learn. It was a great night, a great event and a great cause! Glad the U can bid team could help.

ST DAVID, AZ - Located in the heart of St. David, Arizona is the Bar LR Ranch. Perfectly situated with highway access and river views this sale is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Owners Robin and Linda Richey both grew up on family farms and thoroughly enjoyed the past 20 years at the Bar LR Ranch. “The decision to sell the property was not easy for us,” Linda said. “We have four children, and several grandchildren but they’re not interested in raising cattle or farming, so we must move on to greener pastures." When the Richey's first purchased their property in St. David, they started with five acres. As adjacent properties came up for sale, they purchased the additional properties, growing the ranch to its current 120 +/-Acres which will be auctioned off in a multi-parcel format on April 22, 2017 at 10:00am.

Historically run as farmland, some of the pecan trees on property were planted in 1929. The Richey's ran between 30-40 registered Angus mother cows, producing top notch bulls. Through their 16 years in the cattle business, the Richeys bred for calving-ease along with docility and produced high value breeding stock. In 2015, Bar LR Angus had the top selling bull at the “Bulls for the 21st Century Bull Test and Sale,” as well as the top selling and highest grading Angus bull at the Willcox Livestock Auction Annual Bull Sale. The ranch also produced the grand champion bull at the Willcox Livestock Auction annual bull sale in March 2016.

If you are not familiar with Southeastern Arizona, it has plenty of history and amenities. The property is close to several ghost towns and only 18 miles from The Town Too Tough To Die, Tombstone, Arizona; where the famous shootout with Wyatt Earp happened in 1881. Other historical towns nearby like; Bisbee, Douglas, and Willcox are quick day trips from the ranch, offer unique yearly festivals and draw tourists from around the world all season long. Explore the great outdoors with Kartchner Caverns State Park, the Huachuca Mountains, Cochise Stronghold and Cornado National Forest nearby.  Most residents enjoy the relaxed, rural lifestyle of St. David, however there are several cities close by. Benson, Sierra Vista and Tucson are all within 50 miles and offer all the benefits of city life. Working or playing outdoors is easy in Arizona's mild climate. On average, there are 279 sunny days in St. David, AZ with around 13" of rain per year at an elevation of 3,691ft. Pretty spectacular!

If you haven't already, we invite you to fall in love with the west and take a closer look at the Bar LR Ranch. The seven parcels put forward are all unique and offer the new owner endless possibilities. Host family and friends in a large main home with 5,038 +/- s.f. under roof. Generate income from your own private pecan orchard and nearly 50 acres of pastures irrigated from multiple shallow wells, develop the property into an equine training facility, run a small herd, plant a crop, or keep it as a quiet private retreat. This versatile property also has a 4,000 +/- s.f. steel building, two potential rental homes, property for future development and plenty of water all in a beautifully treed, quiet rural town setting.

For more information, or to schedule a time to visit the property please contact us. We look forward to meeting you and can't wait to have you join us for a full day of auction excitement. Each parcel with its acreage, and improvements is summarized below.  Interested buyers can contact Nancy Belt or Paul Ramirez to request a more detailed property brochure or learn more bout the auction process and please note all parcels are subject to sale prior to auction.

Tucson, Arizona - The 1st annual U CAN BID .COM Western Lifestyle Photography Contest was a hit! A big thanks to all the participants who entered their "Western" images through the Ramirez Auction Service Inc Facebook account. The world voted for their favorite...drum roll please! CONGRATULATIONS to this years winner Brody McGuire who was also kind enough to fill out our proust questionaire.

Full Name: Brody McGuire

Hometown: Buckeye, AZ

Company/Business/Job: Agricultural Instructor and FFA Advisor at Arizona Agribusiness and Equine Center- Estrella Mountain campus. I am also a contract auctioneer.

What speaks “Western” about this photo? What organization are you donating the $250 to and why?

This photo speaks "Western" on multiple fronts. It was taken at my grandfathers ranch in Buckeye, AZ. He was a true Arizona cowboy through and through. He owned and operated White Tank Meats for 35 years which is featured in the background. The flag out front has been flown for many years as he was a true patriot. We decided to fly it at half mass after he passed a couple of years ago and this photo was taken the day after he passed. He was an accomplished rodeo athlete and renowned animal trainer and has had his animals featured in various movies over the course of his life. He was an advocate for individuals in the agriculture industry and knowing that I would like to donate this money to the Arizona National Livestock Show Scholarship Fund. I was a recipient of this scholarship several times and have a true passion for the show. I know he would want others to have the same appreciation for the animal industry, which is why I would like to donate to ANLS.

What did you want to be when you grew up and what is your Education/Training?

Growing up in an agriculture setting (my mom drove a tractor until she was 8 months pregnant with me), I knew I wanted to be involved in agriculture. In high school I developed my passion for teaching and went into the Agriculture Education Program at the University of Arizona. I guess I always knew I wanted to make a positive impact on the future in agriculture which led me to becoming and agriculture instructor.

Which living person do you most admire?

I have a bunch of people that I admire. First would have to be my wife. She continues to inspire me every day with her passion for helping others. I admire my grandparents (my mom's father). He is the one who got me connected into the auction community with his relationship with John Cadzow. Even though he is in his 80's now, he still goes out to his shop every day and is tinkering with something!

What is your greatest fear?

My greatest fear is letting people down. I have had my fair share of ups and downs just like everyone but I am working harder each day to be better at that. (I'm also not very fond of heights)

What is your most treasured possession?

My most treasured possession is probably a 1947 record of my great grandfather performing square dance calling (he is in the Prescott Hall of Fame for it) everything else I own can be replaced but that can't. It reminds me of an auction chant and makes me think it was in my blood to go into that field.

#Auctionswork

This is a great statement because Auctions do work! I can tell first hand of my experiences in the auction industry and it is a great way to effectively, efficiently and transparently liquidate assets. We are determining true market value for that item at that exact moment in time with buyers and sellers both! What a great statement!

Southern, AZ - This November, Dean Fish from Anchor F Cattle Co. is putting on two club calf events. First, is the free Anchor F Steer Selection Clinic and Preview Saturday November 19, 2016 from 1pm - 3pm. Located at the Santa Fe Ranch headquarters, (169 North River Road in Nogales, AZ) this short and informative clinic has been designed to help 4-H and FFA members of all ages in their beef project. Attendees will learn how to evaluate prospect market steers, and other critical things needed to select their next beef project!

The second event of the weekend is a live auction! The public auction will be held at the Sonoita Fairgrounds on Sunday November 20, 2016 at 1:00pm under the Bob & Mary Bowman Pavilion. Can't make it to the event? Online absentee bidding starts at 8:00am Thursday November 17th and closes at 8:00pm Saturday November 19th. Click here to place your bids. The eleven spring-born calves offered will work for all of the late summer and fall fairs, including the Arizona State Fair.

A UofA alumnae and long-time leader/supporter of youth 4-H and FFA clubs, Dean began his club calf herd in the spring of 2004 with 15 commercial Angus based heifers. Using these heifers, he artificially inseminated to Maine Anjou bulls to produce club calf mommas. The philosophy has always been to start with a sound functional cow. Good feeding cattle because of their maternal base, Deans’ steers have been Champion Carcass for the last four years at Santa Cruz Co. Fair, in addition to having champions and reserves at Santa Cruz and Graham counties.

Cows are culled on disposition and he 100% guarantees every calf sold. All calves are vaccinated and processed to BQA guidelines. His son Garrett is no longer be showing, so his entire calf crop will be on the auction block this fall.

Anchor F Cattle Company is dedicated to raising quality calves at a reasonable price. Dean says, “There is nothing else you can give a kid to learn more responsibility and instill a good work ethic, like a club calf.”

Curious about our calves? Call, email or stop by our ranch just outside of Nogales, Arizona. Appointments can be made by contacting Dean Fish: This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or (520) 988-8009

Award Winning Auctioneer + Award Winning Sow Operation = Outstanding Farm Sale

Yuma, AZ - Making dreams come true, Git-R-Done Showpigs is a 25-sow operation out of Yuma, Arizona ran by Jeannie and son Justin Gorman. The operation started with Kliff purchasing five females from an Ottenwalter online sale. Who’d have known that midnight exchange on the side of the road in Buckeye, Arizona would multiply five times in a few short years. Justin, age 26, came back to home to Yuma a few months later. He fed and raised his first boar, Manifest, who sold at WPX 2014 for $6,500. This trip led his networking among the most respected breeders in the industry. Every new relationship and conversation about pigs fueled his passion.

In the late-’80s, we had a small operation with a few sows and would order semen from Hi Point. Twenty-some years later, here we are again. It’s been great rekindling the relationship with these guys. It’s great being able to call them up and ask “Hey what do you think?” They’ve got good prices for top-quality genetics and guarantee their product, which is important for programs like ours. In December 2015, we farrowed three litters sired by It’s All Good. From mid- February to April, we’ve been on a run with It’s All Good, and our customers have earned seven banners.

In our program, we focus on building them right from the ground up. Our involvement doesn’t stop at the bill of sale. Justin spends countless hours working with his customers on feed programs, grooming and showmanship. He has established customers in Georgia, Texas, California, Oklahoma and Arizona. We believe good pigs are bought. Champions are made.

This Winter Ramirez Auction Service Inc. and Git-R-Done Showpigs are teaming up for the Driven by Heart Farm Sale on December 10th in Yuma, Az at 5387 E. 45th.  Preview is at 11:30am, Lunch at 1:00pm and the live Auction starts at 2:00pm. Stay tuned on Facebook for all the latest!

Bar LR Black Angus Ranch - Announces October Sale!

St. David, AZ - Robin & Linda Richey started their registered Black Angus business through Jim Danekas in May of 2000, when Jim purchased five pregnant females from Vintage Angus Ranch in Modesto, CA. The herd has been lovingly attended to over the past 16 years and has grown to what it is today; a calm collection of 60+ animal units. Proof of the dedication the Richey's have put into Bar LR Black Angus Ranch.

We at Ramirez Auction Service Inc. are thrilled to partner with premier Angus breeders, like Linda & Robin, as we assist in conducting their complete herd dispersal sale. Mark your calendars for Saturday October 22, 2016 when the complete registered Bar LR Angus herd becomes available at auction!

And now a word from Owner/Breeder Linda Richey: We have made many good friend far and wide over the past 16 years and as a result have some of our bulls in most of the Western States. We have learned some valuable and fun life lessons from these wonderful animals, but the time has come for us to retire from the cattle business and move on to "GREENER PASTURES"; thus we have decided to sell ALL livestock...a complete dispersion...we are not holding anything back! Once the herd is sold, our next HUGE project will be to sell the property along with the farm and ranch equimpent. This will be another bitter-sweet moment that we look forward to experiencing. We owe much gratitude to:

  • Dan Bryce (our neighbor & Angus partner)
  • Dean Fish (our AI tech)
  • Gary Thrasher DVM (our fabulous veterinarian)
  • Paul Ramirez & Renée Bidegain (our auction day sales managers)
  • Rich Machado (our California based auctioneer)
  • Terry Cotton (American Angus Association Regional Rep)
  • John Dickinson (Videographer & Internet Sales Coordinator)
  • Ron Low & Farm Bureau Grill Team (Bidder BBQ - catered luncheon)
  • Terry/Genger Chacon plus Andy/Nicole Pogue & their 8 children (trimming & clipping)
  • Kayleen Fenn (help during calving season)
  • Darcy DeSpain & children (our onsite eyes when we weren't there)

Stay tuned here at U Can Bid.Com or follow us on Facebook for all the latest news. We can't wait to see old friends and meet new ones at our Sale in October at the Ranch Headquarters. See you soon!

Comments From Our Clients

  • Paul Ramirez was our auctioneer for the Tucson Wildlife Center "Rejoice Dinner" fund raiser in Jan 2012. We were very fortunate to have Paul as he significantly increased our auction proceeds far above expectations. He is a very creative auctioneer and suggested several unique ways to present our candidate offerings. Paul is engaging and knows how to motivate potential bidders. His enthusiasm and humor energizes the audience. Because of Paul's excellent presentation of our auction items we believe we achieved about three times the revenue that we had anticipated. All of the attendees enjoyed the auction as the highlight of the evening. We were so pleased that we have scheduled Paul again for our 2013 event.
    M. Lisa Bates, MS, Executive Director, Tucson Wildlife Center, Inc.

  • Paul Ramirez and the Charity Auction Team are TROT's "secret weapon" when it comes to our event fundraising efforts! Paul's professional expertise, his auction style, and his rapport with the crowd are a perfect fit for our organization - his auctions are fun and produce fabulous results for our charity. Paul knows his business and willingly shares ideas to help us maximize the proceeds from our events. Many children with special needs from the Tucson community have directly benefited from the funds raised by Ramirez Auction Services and we are grateful for their supportive, professional assistance. I highly recommend the Ramirez Auction Services to any nonprofit organization that wants a good outcome at their events!
Leslie Esselburn, Executive Director Therapeutic Riding of Tucson (TROT)

  • Paul has been auctioneer several times when I have donated a large original painting to a charity event. No one does a better job auctioning my work then he does. Paul does his homework, knows his audience, has good knowledge of the items he's auctioning, and says just the right thing to elicit the highest bid. I am always thrilled when I see he is the auctioneer.
    Diana Madaras, Madaras Gallery

  • Thank you so much for helping us at the Santa Cruz County Fair. Too many people don't realize what a great talent we have in you! I appreciate all you do for us and the young people in our county and state!
Dean Fish, Santa Cruz County Fair

  • Thank you for your professionalism in auctioneering for our Gala & Auction. Your team was the highlight to our evening with many compliments on the Live Auction. The outcome of this event was fruitful. CFCA is very blessed to have your support!
